Starship Troopers was Paul Verhoeven’s ace shoot-em-up sci-fi flick which followed the dodgy – if enjoyably rude – Showgirls, and it was mostly brilliant because of a smouldering then 26-year-old with a ruddy big gun. Two years later that same honey was lezzing it up with Neve “Scream” Campbell in Wild Things, and then… our favourite big-eyed American sizzler signed up for a strong of crud and slowly disappeared from our lives.
