Somewhere under the bad hair and hoodie lies a hot celebrity. I'm Really Hot - Underneath It All There are a few stars in Hollywood who seem to prefer to keep their stunning good looks undercover -- often beneath bad hair (facial and otherwise), awful glasses, raggedy hoodies, and sometimes all 3. Check out the celebs who appear to go out of their way to look as unattractive as a highly attractive celeb possibly can. 13. Jared Leto: Wacky Hair  Jared Leto has been melting hearts since his days on My So Called Life, but, now that he's transitioned to musician as 30 Seconds from Mars frontman, his recent crazy haircuts and dye jobs seem to be intentionally lowering his hotness factor. Take this picture for instance: His hair matches his suitcase AND sneakers. That move screamed "Don't call me hot, I'm a hardcore rocker."12. Emma Watson's Tactic: Drastic Haircut  Emma Watson made headlines everywhere when she cut off her flowing locks. The starlet says the experience was "liberating" and she'd wanted to do it since she was 16 but never could because she's been filming Harry Potter for so long. The actress seems to her new 'do, but her fans were very disappointed. 11. Natalie Portman's Tactic: Giant Jackets  Natalie Portman's pregnant so she currently has a valid excuse for wanting to be covered up from head to toe, but the actress has been wearing these over-sized jackets forever! We're not even sure she can see at this point. 10. Renee Zellweger's Tactic: Unruly Hair  Renee Zellweger often looks like she forgot to brush her hair before leaving the house. We admit it's mostly because she's just been to the gym, but come on now. 9. Mischa Barton's Tactic: Bad Roots and Oversized Glasses  Mischa Barton was blazing hot back when she was on the O.C., but now her hair desperately needs to be touched up (and brushed) and she's been wearing really wacky outfits like this Where's Waldo ensemble. |
8. Kristen Stewart's Tactic: Hoodie
Kristen Stewart's idea of going incognito is slapping on a pair of old jeans, sneakers, sunglasses, hat and a hoodie. We still see you, KStew! The Twilight star seems to go out of her way to look disheveled, but maybe that's just her style. She also looks mighty uncomfortable while dressed up on the red carpet.
7. John Mayer's Tactic: Too Much Hair
Dear John Mayer: Cut your hair -- any of it, preferably all of it. The rocker seems to be letting himself go these days, with long, unruly hair and unkempt facial hair. He's gotten in some hot water with the ladies over the last year, so maybe he's trying to ward them off with this sloppy 'do.

Avril Lavigne's punk rock princess style, especially her confetti-colored hair, was totally hip -- 10 years ago! We appreciate that she's been true to her style all this time, but she's got to know combat boots and toole are no longer acceptable on the red carpet. 4. Johnny Depp's Tactic: Straggly Hair  Let's face it: Johnny Depp is pretty hot no matter what. But, he'd be even hotter without the long hair, weird hats, and haphazard facial hair. He seems to make it a point to hide those chisled features. 3. Paz de la Huerta's Tactic: Sloppy Sad Face  Boardwalk Empire star Paz de la Huerta has a habit of pouting in most every picture. Plus, she's usually slouching, or looking down, and just seems downright disinterested. She also has a pattern of hitting the sauce before big events, so perhaps these things are related... 2. Jennifer Garner's Tactic: Mom Jeans  We get it: Jennifer Garner's a busy 39-year-old mother of two and she's not into dressing like Halle Berry. That's fine. But, that doesn't mean she should wear mom jeans -- even to the farmers' market! 1. Brad Pitt's Tactic: Facial Hair  Brad Pitt first grew some bad facial hair in the form of a mustache in 2008,which turned into a wild goatee in 2009. It was so bad that People even published an open letter to him and his scruff. By 2010, he was sporting a full beard, explaining it was nothing more than "boredom." This year, he showed up at the Cannes Film Festival with a goatee -- a graying goatee at that!
