Sandra Bullock's famously philandering ex-husband Jesse James made an appearance on Piers Morgan Tonight this week to discuss the one thing about himself that people find fascinating: The fact that he screwed over America's Sweetheart in such a big, crude, ugly way.
James, who is working the promo stroll in the name of his new memoir, American Outlaw, says that while he feels bad about hurting Bullock and those around her, he wouldn't go back and change anything that happened as he is "a firm believer that things happen in life to teach us a lesson."
Still, James recognizes that he didn't go about things the right way when he cheated on his wife with a number of heavily tattooed women. "I should have did the honorable thing ... I should have left her, you know? If I wanted to screw around, I should have, you know, ended it."
The motorcycle enthusiast managed to avoid disparaging his ex-wife too much on Piers' show (he didn't fare quite as well when he sat down opposite Howard Stern), but he did suggest that Sandra was being insincere when she called him her "rock" during her Golden Globes acceptance speech.
James countered that Bullock "said that same speech at four different awards shows."
Shouldn't he have been thankful she wanted to sing his praises?
