Rihanna (Robyn Fenty), born February 20, 1988 in Saint Michael, Barbados is a singer, model and a beauty queen. She started to perform at the age of fifteen when she formed a musical band with two of her friends while in high school. When the band got introduced to a record producer Evan Rogers, she immediately stood out and was invited to move to the US to further her singing career, while staying with Rogers and his wife. After staying in the United States for just two years, Rihanna released her first album “Music of the Sun” which reached number ten on the Billboard 200. One of the singles from the album called “Pon de Replay” was briefly ranked at number two. Her second album “A Girl Like Me” peaked at number five on the Billboards 200, was certified platinum and spawned two singles “SOS” and “Unfaithful” became international hits. During this time she had a tour alongside Pussycat Dolls and opened for Gwen Stefani. She became infamous worldwide with a release of her third album “Good Girl Gone Bad” in 2007. Several songs from the album reached top ten, including “Umbrella” (featuring Jay-Z), “Please Don’t Stop the Music”, “Shut Up and Drive”, “Hate That I Love You”, among others. The album went two times platinum, as is her best-selling album so far. The following year, Rihanna won Favourite POP/ROCK (and (R&B/Soul) Female Artist at the American Music Awards.
