Listen To Britney Spears Cover Madonna's 'Burning Up' -VIDEO

Listen To Britney Spears Cover Madonna's 'Burning Up'  -  ( VIDEO )

Wikio - Posted 6/12/11 08:55am

It's no secret that Britney Spears loves pop forerunner Madonna (even enough to make out with her!).
So when rumors began flying that Britney would be covering Madonna's 1983 hit "Burning Up" (watch the video below) on her upcoming "Femme Fatale" tour, they didn't seem too off-base. And sure enough, as of today it would seem this has actually been confirmed by a leaked song many suspect is meant to be a backing track for Britney's dance-heavy live show.
As covers go, it's pretty straightforward, with Britney purring the lyrics in her unmistakable voice over music that sounds like it's gotten a bit of a techno update. Does this mean she's going to dress up like early '80s Madonna too, with leather jacket, bangles and bright pink lipstick? Lacey hair bow too, we hope? Or, OMG, does this mean Madonna might decide to make a cameo at some point, helping Britney perform a few of her iconic songs??? WHO DO WE NEED TO CALL TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN?

In The Honor of Les Paul 96th Birthday - God Bless You Paul

In The Honor of Les Paul 96th Birthday - God Bless You Paul

Gibson Les Paul StudioThe Gibson Les Paul is a guitar that speaks for itself. Whether in the hands of an able bluesman, a metal shredder, a snaky chordsman, or a pop strummer, the Les Paul has a sound and image immediately identifiable as pure attitude and power. Since the company began churning out mandolins in the late 1800's all the way until today, bearing an instrument with the name Gibson emblazoned on the headstock gives the performer a certain sense of gravitas, and the Les Paul Studio is no exception.

Gibson Les Paul Studio: Because Sometimes You've Just Gotta Dress It Down

The specs are exactly what you've come to know, expect, and respect from such a fine instrument as a Gibson Les Paul, without any of the frills or flair some guitarists look for in a stage axe.

Specifications of the Gibson Les Paul Studio

The Gibson Les Paul Studio guitars feature carved maple caps on mahogany bodies, '59 Les Paul Rounded Mahogany necks, 22 frets on a 24 and 3/4-inch scale length, and pearloid trapezoid inlays. Available in 4 striking finishes, the wine red, fireburst, and ebony Les Paul Studios all feature rosewood fretboards, while the alpine white packs a secret surprise on board. Normally reserved for instruments double in price, the alpine white Les Paul Studio features an ebony fretboard, adding a distinct cutting edge to the tone of an already very able tone machine. The pickups are capable of dishing copious amounts of tone, thanks to the Alnico magnets in the 490R and 498T pickups found in the neck and bridge positions, respectively, controlled by the standard 3-way toggle switch and array of dual volume and tone controls. The guitar ships strung up with Gibson Brite Wires, gauged .010 to .046, in a black reptile pattern hardshell Gibson case, with a dark grey plush interior.

Richie Sambora Has Left Rehab

Richie Sambora Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora (L) and singer Jon Bon Jovi perform at the MGM Grand Garden Arena March 19, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Bon Jovi guitarist received treatment for exhaustion and to aid his sobriety in April and May. The American rock band completed their The Circle Tour last year and Richie reportedly began struggling soon after it ended.

Details of where Richie received help haven't been released but he arrived in New York yesterday.

'Sambora told our photog at JFK he was feeling good - which was evidenced by the fact he signed dozens upon dozens of autographs for fans,' reports TMZ.

Richie had flown from Los Angeles to New York and is apparently planning to reunite with his bandmates Jon Bon Jovi, Tico Torres and David Bryan. They are scheduled to perform in Croatia on Wednesday as part of their Live 2011 tour and it's thought Richie will take to the stage with them.

The 51-year-old previously received in-patient treatment for alcoholism, checking into Cirque Lodge in Utah in 2007. That decision to get help came after his high-profile divorce from Heather Locklear, which was finalised just days before the musician's father died of lung.

It's thought he began drinking again shortly before he checked into a facility in April.

'Richie recently has been drinking too much, and wants to get his life together,' a source said at the time.

2010 GRAMMY

The 10 Most Shocking 2010 GRAMMY Moments... In Photos! by MTV

1.) KATY PERRY SIDE BOOB! Repeat... KATY PERRY! SIDEBOOB! Thanks to Zac Posen, the miracles of double-sided tape, and a sliding scale of modesty, Katy Perry gave her fans a little peekaboo surprise. She probably also made some new fans. You're welcome.

2.) BRITNEY'S RELATIVELY PANTS-FREE OUTFIT! BRITNEY SPEARS DID attend the GRAMMYs. Though she made an understated entrance on the red carpet, her outfit was anything but. Perhaps in an homage to "Pants On The Ground," Britney's black see-through Dolce & Gabbana looked like it was missing a bottom half but ACTUALLY had a quite "demure" knee-length skirt, thank you very much. (Still, any outfit that demands a bikini wax means you're basically not wearing pants.)

3.) BEYONCE ADOPTED JUSTIN BIEBER! #okaynotreally

4.) CELINE DION PROPOSED TO LADY GAGA! She said yes! #thatalsodidnotreallyhappen

5.) JAMIE FOXX DRESSED UP LIKE SHREK. Or the cat from Shrek. Take your pick.

Check out more shocking moments from the 2010 GRAMMY Awards after the jump!

7.) PINK AS THE VIRGIN MARY AND A HUMAN SPRINKLER: Pink started out her GRAMMY performance looking like a religious icon. She ended it upside-down, in a body suit that looked like it was made of athletic tape, doing her best impression of a Waterpik showerhead. #lovedit

8.) BEYONCE'S CROTCH GRAB: That. Girl. Got. NASTAY. She grabbed her crotch, sang Alanis Morissette's ode to illicit behavior in a movie theater, and then got all Adam Lambert-at-the-AMAs freaky-deaky with the crotch grab. #totallylovedit

9.) IMOGEN HEAP'S OUTFIT: I mean WHO wears FLATS on the red carpet! (SMDH.)

10.) SNOOKI WAS AT THE GRAMMYS! Because... she's Snooki! As the inventor of the poof, it was kinda sad to see that Snooki's hair wasn't getting her signature height at the GRAMMYs. (Also, is Snooki morphing into the fourth Kardashian sister?) Snooki did, however, meet Katy Perry, so the night was still a win.
